Muasher named government spokesperson

The Cabinet on Tuesday named Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muasher as the government's spokesperson. Muasher will hold a press briefing at the Royal Cultural Centre at 11:00am today for local and foreign media outlets. During its first weekly session after Sunday's reshuffle, the Council of Ministers decided to appoint former Justice Minister Mohammad Alawneh as president of the Legislative Bureau. The Cabinet also reorganised the ministerial committees, introducing changes to the socio-economic development, legal, human resources, public sector reform, and anti-corruption higher committees, as well as a committee entrusted with examining recommendations for appointments to senior posts.
