Jordan Condemns the Killing of Egyptian Envoy to Iraq
Amman, July 7 (Petra)-- Jordan condemned on
Thursday the killing of the Egyptian ambassador to Iraq Ihab Sharif.
The Jordanian government issued a statement in which it pointed that this brutal
terrorist act contradicts the moral and human values, noting that Islam rejects
such actions.
"The Jordanian government expresses its deep sympathy and condolences for the
Egyptian people and Sharif's family," the statement said.
Al Qaeda group in Iraq, headed by Abu Musab Zaqawi, said in an Internet
statement on Thursday it killed Egypt's top envoy to Iraq.
