King holds talks with US senator
AMMAN (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday conferred with US Senator Carl Levin (D - Michigan), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee who is currently on a tour of the region. At the meeting attended by US Charge d'Affaires David Hale, the King and Levin reviewed Jordanian-US ties and the Middle East situation, particularly the Palestinian-Israeli peace process. The Monarch underlined the importance of maintaining ongoing US efforts to establish peace and stability in the region.
