AWTC announces World
Trade Week Jordan
AMMAN (JT) — In an effort to boost Jordanian companies' export capacity, the
Amman World Trade Centre (AWTC) is organizing World Trade Week Jordan, a
weeklong trade show and conference that will be held under the patronage of His
Majesty King Abdullah, beginning Aug. 1, 2004 in Amman.
World Trade Week Jordan aims to assist Jordanian companies — those that are new to exporting, and those that are established — adopt best practices in exporting and export planning, and to provide a platform for companies to meet international trade specialists, delegates and partners.
A trade show, a series of export training workshops, sector-specific seminars, and trade days (for the US., EU., and Arab markets) will be organized by the Amman World Trade Centre (AWTC) in partnership with the Jordan Export Development Corporation (JEDCO), the Jordan Investment Board (JIB), the Jordanian-American Businessmen Association (JABA), the National Fund for Enterprise Support (NAFES), the Jordan-US Business Partnership (JUSBP), the USAID-funded AMIR Program and other local and international support organizations.
Commercial and trade departments of international embassies in Jordan, as well as representatives of various World Trade Centers around the world will be participating in World Trade Week.
