Investment contracts at
free zones increase by 12% during the first half of 2005
AMMAN (Petra) Investment contracts at the free zones increased during the first
half of 2005 by 12 per cent to 133 compared to 118 contracts during the same
period last year. The authorised investment capital also rose by 15 per cent to
JD13.58 million compared to JD11.8 million. Companies registered at the Free
Zones Corporation without a property leasing contract totalled 68 companies
capitalised at JD9.1 million compared to 18 companies at a capital of JD13.2
million.
