President
Amman, July 18 (Petra)-- His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday made a phone
call with French President Jacque Chirac and discussed with him the Israeli
continuous aggression on Lebanese territories.
The King renewed emphasis on the need to move quickly to end the Israeli
aggression against Lebanon and to put an end to military operations which target
infrastructure and the innocent civilians.
In this regard, King Abdullah and President Chirac stressed the importance of
the immediate cessation of these operations which are victimizing innocents and
damaging the Lebanese infrastructure and that would undermine all efforts and
opportunities for achieving security and stability in the region.
His Majesty has called upon France to continue playing its active role to
mobilize parties on the international scene to assist in the cease-fire and to
find an immediate solution to the current crisis based on the language of logic
and dialogue, praising efforts of the French government in this regard.
