A parliamentary delegation
holds talks with US administration officials
WASHINGTON (Petra) — A parliamentary delegation now visiting the US has urged
the US Congress to help Jordan implement the Dead-Red Sea Canal project and use
its good offices to convince debtor nations to cancel the Kingdom's debts or
transform the debt into investments. The delegation, led by Deputy Speaker of
the Lower House Thafer Fawaz, met with US administration officials and urged
them to help Jordan carry out the required economic reforms.
