Iraqi technicians to receive
water resources management training
AMMAN (Petra) — Twenty-two Iraqi technicians are to receive training in water
resources management at the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Water and
Irrigation, under an agreement signed by the ministry and the Japan
International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Monday. JICA is financing the
training course as part of its efforts for the reconstruction of Iraqi
infrastructure services. The Iraqis will receive training in water resources
management, water technology, management of water distribution to small
agricultural units, modern irrigation, rationalising water consumption and
recycling of treated wastewater.
