Labour Ministry Does Not
Interfere in the Employment of Jordanians in Iraq
Amman, Aug. 10 (Petra)--Private Jordanian employment offices refused to provide
Iraqi companies with Jordanian labour to work in reconstruction projects.
The rejection came due to the lack of security and guarantees to provide
protection for laborers in Iraq.
In Comments on the issue, the Labour Ministry said that it does not interfere in
decisions taken by companies or Jordanian individuals willing to work in the
Iraqi market.
The Media spokesperson of the ministry Raja Talab told Jordan News Agency that
some employment offices reject employment offers in Iraq, indicating that the
issue concerns these offices and not the ministry.
