Uptake of ERP solutions by Jordan companies on the rise

Amman (JT) — In view of the rapidly increasing regional uptake of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions in the Middle East market, iScala, Epicor Scala on Thursday said that there was tremendous potential for growth in the local market.

In a corporate presentation on the advantages of iScala to select decision makers and IT experts from the manufacturing and trading companies at a high-level seminar, senior officials of Epicor Scala said that companies, both big and small in Jordan, were fast realising the advantages of implementing ERP to streamline their business process and in turn were benefiting from a number of advantages, including cost-efficiency and better return on investment, according to a statement by the company.

Basil Daniells, channel manager for Epicor Scala in the Middle East said, “IDC has projected that the ERP solutions market in the Middle East and North Africa region is growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate of over 17 per cent and by 2006, the market would be to the tune of $219 million.”

“Jordan is still a small market compared to others in the region when it comes to ERP uptake, but Epicor Scala's business in Jordan is on the rise, which is an ample indication that the potential for growth is very high,” he said.

Presenting a corporate update on iScala to the select audience, Daniells and Hani S. Saadi, managing director of Business Consult Limited, an Epicor Scala channel partner in Jordan, said that the company has over 10 clients in Jordan, and the portfolio is set to grow in the coming days.

At the seminar, Epicor Scala officials also presented the cutting-edge advantages of iScala Financials and Supply Chain Management modules, the Manufacturing and Planning Control module and Business Intelligence Tools that help companies analyse and forecast future business growth needs.

“In the Middle East and beyond, the lower total cost of ownership, higher efficiency, and post-implementation of services have made iScala a preferred enterprise system. iScala Financials is a proven module for companies to streamline their financial reporting systems, while Logistics takes care of the entire supply-chain mechanism, with 24/7 real time responsiveness, giving better control on business functions,” said Saadi.

Epicor Scala's MPC module is in use by many manufacturing companies in the region, including Jordan.
