Arabic programme for non-native speakers concludes
IRBID (Petra) — A Yarmouk/Virginia programme for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers from US universities concluded on Sunday. Nasser Athamneh, head of the Language Centre at Yarmouk University, pointed out the significance of the programme that gives foreign students the opportunity to get acquainted with the advances in the Kingdom. He added that such programmes establish cultural dialogue between nations. The programme included teaching the four skills of the Arabic language over one semester. At the end of the ceremony, Athamneh presented participants with certificates and gifts.
