Gov’t takes
measures to facilitate entrance of Iraqi children into schools — Bakhit
AMMAN (Petra) — Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit said on Thursday that the
government has taken several measures to facilitate residency permit procedures
for Iraqis so they are able to enrol their children in public schools. The
premier made the comments during a meeting with Iraqi Parliament Spokesperson
Mahmoud Mashhadani and also stressed Jordan’s willingness to facilitate entry
procedures for Iraqis at the border crossings. Senate President Zeid Rifai also
met with Mashhadani yesterday and stressed Jordan’s support for a safe and
stable Iraq.
