Assistance to Lebanon
continues
AMMAN (Petra) — Humanitarian assistance convoys continued to Lebanon on
Thursday. The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation sent its sixth convoy,
comprising six trucks laden with 114 tonnes of food, medicines, milk and baby
food. The shipment was bought with the money collected through a telethon held
recently by Jordan TV. Also Thursday, the professional associations sent two
trucks carrying 30,000 food parcels, each enough for a Lebanese family for a
week. Meanwhile, the president of the Pharmacists Association announced that a
delegation from the association’s council would arrive in Beirut Friday to check
on the situation of the Lebanese Pharmacists Association.
