Zu’bi discusses
bilateral economic cooperation with governor of Colorado
AMMAN (Petra) — Industry and Trade Minister Sharif Zu’bi and Colorado’s Governor
Bill Owens discussed on Thursday mechanisms for boosting bilateral economic
cooperation. The two sides stressed the importance of encouraging the private
sector to launch joint investments, and the need to further benefit from the
Free Trade Agreement signed between Jordan and the US. Zu’bi briefed Owens on
the economic challenges facing the country and its needs for development. During
the first half of this year, Jordan’s exports to the US totalled JD406.6
million. According to Owens, “Jordan is a promising area in the region, as it
enjoys several characteristics that draw investments”.
