King, German FM talk Iraq,
peace process and reforms
AMMAN (Petra) — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday met German Foreign Minister
Joschka Fischer for talks on regional issues and bilateral relations.
The talks focused on the security situation in Iraq, the Middle East peace
process and reforms in the region. King Abdullah expressed hope that the
international forces, Europe and particularly the United States, would spare no
effort to end the deadlock in the peace process. The Monarch stressed that the
continuos violence and the daily suffering of the Palestinians under the
occupation called for intensified action to relaunch the peace process. The King
thanked Germany for its support to help Jordan implement development and
economic projects. Royal Court Minister Samir Rifai and Foreign Minister Marwan
Muasher attended the meeting.
