Health minister holds
talks with US delegation
AMMAN (Petra) — Health Minister Saeed Darwazeh on Sunday discussed prospects for
US assistance to Jordan during a meeting with a delegation representing the US
Food and Drugs Administration. Salah Mawajdeh, director of the Jordanian Food
and Drugs Administration, said the delegation would spend five days in the
Kingdom and tour hospitals, pharmaceutical factories and universities. Mawajdeh
said 70 per cent of locally made drugs are exported to around 60 countries
around the world including the US and Europe.
