Local tourism sector reaches
out to Lebanese colleagues
AMMAN (Petra) - The presidents of several Jordanian tourist institutions on Tuesday expressed their
readiness to help their Lebanese counterparts revive the tourism sector, which was
adversely affected during the latest Israeli attacks. They expressed confidence that
they would be able to recover soon. To assist Lebanon’s tourism and encourage people
to travel to Lebanon, the Jordanian tourism sector began offering trips at reduced prices,
President of the Tourism and Travel Agents Society Haidar Zeidat said. Minister of Tourism
and Antiquities Munir Nassar stressed the country’s readiness to assist Lebanon by
providing expertise, training and participating in related promotion efforts.
