No foreign parties involved
in inspection of Beirut-bound planes — airline official
AMMAN (Petra) — Representatives of the Jordan Information Centre (JIC) on Tuesday
visited Queen Alia International Airport to learn more about procedures related to
flights from Jordan to Lebanon. JIC President Basel Tarawneh stressed the government’s
openness and transparency in cooperating with the media and providing information,
adding that the procedures followed are the same as those adopted at all international
airports. Middle East Airlines (MEA) Regional Director Mohammad Ali Shueib said the
procedures are the same as before, emphasising that there is no cooperation with any
foreign parties in the inspection of aircraft arriving from and departing to Lebanon.
