Volume of trade at public and private free zones increases by 22% in seven months
AMMAN (Petra) — The volume of trade at the country's public and private free zones rose during the first seven months of the year by 22 per cent to 1.4 million tonnes compared to 1.1 million tonnes during the same period last year. According to the Free Zones Corporation, the trade volume rose at the public free zones by 48 per cent, to around 631,000 tonnes compared to around 425,000 tonnes while the trade volume of the private free zones rose by seven per cent to 767,000 tonnes compared to around 718,000 tonnes.
