King meets with Abbas, says coming months decisive

King Abdullah told Abbas at a meeting that efforts to revive the Palestinian-Israeli peace process should be intensified, warning that the coming few months will be decisive for the Palestinians, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The King also stressed the importance of preserving Palestinian unity as well as establishing a unified Arab position to achieve a just peace and create an independent Palestinian state.

Abbas, meanwhile, briefed the Monarch on his talks with Palestinian factions, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and other top European officials.
