Minister of Agriculture Akef Zu’bi received the US commissioner for
agricultural affairs at the US embassy in Cairo and the economic advisor
at the US embassy in Amman.
The Minister discussed with the US officials scopes of cooperation
between Jordan and the US, especially in the agricultural fields and
means to develop ties within the Free Trade Agreement, signed between
the two countries.
Zu'bi stressed that cooperation between the two sides is positively
reflected on the agricultural sector, hailing the readiness of the US
side and the USAID to support the ministry and the private sector's
projects to enable it enter the US markets and benefit from privileges
of the Free Trade Agreement.
