Muasher, EU envoy discuss peace process
CAIRO, September 16 (Petra) - Foreign Minister
Marwan Muasher and EU special envoy to the Middle East Marc Otte on Wednesday
held talks on the Palestinian issue and the peace process.
Muasher reiterated that Israel's withdrawal from Gaza should be in line with the
roadmap, stressing that it should pave the way for a complete pullout of the
occupied territories and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Otte was in Cairo as part of a regional tour, while Muasher took part in
meetings of Arab League foreign ministers.
Yesterday, Jordan proposed an initiative to implement administrative and
judicial reforms in the Arab world suggested by the Arab summit held in Tunis
earlier this year.
The initiative was designed in cooperation with Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, the UAE
and Morocco.
