Foreign Ministry
following up on prisoners' file
AMMAN (Petra) — The Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that the file of
Jordanian prisoners in Israeli jails was top priority for the ministry, and the
Kingdom's embassy in Tel Aviv is closely following up on the issue.
The embassy maintains constant contacts with the Israeli side in an effort to secure the prisoners' release. According to the Foreign Ministry statement, embassy staff has visited the prisoners to ensure they are in good health. Sultan Ajlouni, one of the prisoners, is in good health, the statement said, adding that he is now in Hadarem prison in northern Israel, and was treated for a digestive disorder in Ramleh Hospital this month.
