Iraqi Interior Minister
Arrives in Amman
Amman, Sep. 30(Petra)-- Iraqi Interior Minister Bayan Jaber arrived in Amman on
Friday on a several- day official visit to Jordan. The Iraqi minister was
received by Interior Minister Awni Yarvas and the Iraqi ambassador to Jordan
Atta Jaber. Jaber told Jordan News Agency that the visit comes within the frame
of coordination between the two countries. He also conveyed regards of the Iraqi
President and the Prime Minister to His Majesty King Abdullah II and the
Jordanian people, pointing to the strong economic, political and security ties
between the two brotherly countries. '' We look forward to developing relations
to protects our joint borders and fight terrorism,'' the minister added. For his
part, Yarvas stressed the brotherly ties between the two countries, pointing
that the two sides will discuss a number of issues of common concern.
