Intelligence chief carries King's message to Yemeni president
AMMAN (AFP) — The director of the General Intelligence Department returned from a one-day trip to Sanaa on Saturday evening, having carried a message from His Majesty King Abdullah to Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.“General Saad Khair delivered a message to President Saleh from King Abdullah on ways of strengthening bilateral relations and on coordination mechanisms between the two countries about recent regional and international developments,” Petra said.
The trip comes three days after King Abdullah and Saleh spoke by telephone on “coordinating the positions of the Arab countries over the developments following the Sept. 11 attacks in the United States,” a Jordanian official said.
Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb confirmed on Friday that his country was contributing to the anti-terrorist campaign being led by the United States in the field of intelligence and information swapping.
