2006 social work contest to raise awareness on Amman Message

The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) has started distributing forms for the Queen Alia Social Work Competition for the year 2006. Some 650,000 forms and leaflets were printed this year to raise awareness on the Amman Message, which seeks to spread the clear and bright image of Islam. The competition’s committee allocated 352 main awards for participants and 22 awards for the competition’s committee in the governorates. HRH Princess Basma launched the Queen Alia Social Work Competition in 1995. The annual contest, which takes the form of a quiz, focuses on raising general awareness through disseminating information on the causes, effects, treatment and prevention of various disabilities. This national endeavour also raises funds to support special education services.
