Foreign aid to reach
$700m in 2006 — Al-Ali
AMMAN (Petra) — The level of foreign aid to Jordan in 2006 is expected to reach
$700 million, of which $500 million is in the form of grants while soft loans
account for the remaining $200 million, Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Suhair Al-Ali said on Monday. So far this year Jordan has received
grants and soft loans totalling $699 million, compared to $641 million in 2005.
