Bakhit calls on
students to exercise voting rights
AMMAN (Petra) - Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit on Monday urged Jordanian youth to
actively take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections slated for November.
The premier’s call was made during a meeting with around 200 university students
organised by the Higher Council for Youth at Al Hussein Sports City. He said the
government was committed to carrying out democratic and transparent elections.
“The government will adopt an electronic network system in all polling stations
to prevent people from voting more than once,” Bakhit said.
