Jordanian-Iraqi Higher Joint Committee to convene in Amman on Nov. 3

The Jordanian-Iraqi Higher Joint Committee will convene here on Nov. 3, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Bassem Awadallah and his Iraqi counterpart Mahdi Hafez said in a joint statement on Sunday. The two officials indicated that the joint committee will be examining four main projects at a total cost of $1,078 million. The projects include the qualifying of the Karama border point and the transport routes between the two countries at a cost of $105.8 million and $723 million respectively in addition to the construction of a free trade zone at a cost of $49 million and qualifying the port's services in Aqaba at a cost of $200 million.
