Prime minister launches 'Investor Certificate'

AMMAN, October 12 (JT) - Prime Minister Faisal Fayez announced late Sunday the launch of the “Investor Certificate” which is an ID card that will be given to investors who invested more than JD100,000 in the Kingdom and who are employing more than 100 Jordanians.

The certificate is meant to ease any governmental procedures for these investors and give them priority. The card will be issued by the Jordan Investment Board which has assigned a special team to go around the Kingdom and distribute application forms to registered investors.

The card, endorsed by the prime minister, reads: “To all official parties, provide the bearer of this card with all required assistance and grant his/her request due priority.” The details on the card include a serial number, the name of the investor and his/her date of birth, phone number and nationality, as well as the issuing and expiry dates.
