counterpart sign executive programme
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Issam Zabalawi yesterday
signed the 2005-2007 executive programme on cultural and scientific cooperation
with his Iraqi counterpart Taher Bakka.
The programme is a continuation of the scientific and cultural agreement signed between the two countries in 1971. It seeks to establish relations between academic institutions in both countries. The programme also includes scholarship awards and scientific research exchange, among others. Zabalawi said no Jordanian students would be sent to Iraq for studying purposes this year, however, Jordanian universities have admitted 100 Iraqi students.
