Exports grow 11.6% in 9
months — JEA
AMMAN (Petra) — Exports grew by 11.6 per cent over the past nine months reaching
JD2.12 billion compared to JD1.9 billion during the same period of last year,
according to Jordan Exporters Association (JEA) President Ayman Hatahet. The US
ranked first buying JD673.9 million worth of Jordanian products. Iraq, the
country’s former principal trade partner, ranked second as it accounted for
JD266.9 million, the JEA president indicated. The JEA was established in 1989 as
a non-profit voluntary business association that assists Jordanian businesses in
their quest to develop international trade, especially the promotion of
Jordanian export.
