125,000-year-old coral reef discovered
AQABA (Petra) — The Marine Science Station in Aqaba has discovered a coral reef
weighing 40 tonnes, and laboratory tests revealed that the new find dates back
125,000 years. According to Fuad Hourani, a researcher at the station, to date
scientists had only found reefs dating back 30,000 years.
