Holiday weekend brings
local, foreign visitors to tourist sites
Around 5,000 local and foreign tourists visited Petra during the four-day Eid Al
Fitr holiday which ended yesterday. Malaysians, students from the Indian
subcontinent, Europeans and many Jordanians took advantage of the sunny weather
to visit the ancient site. Undeterred by the chilly nights, the tourists brought
Wadi Rum's four campsites to full capacity.
