Exports of Duleil
Industrial Park rise 39% during the first ten months of the year
AMMAN (Petra) — Exports of the Duleil Industrial Park near Zarqa rose during the
first ten months of this year by 39 per cent, reaching $107 million compared to
$77 million during the same period last year. The industrial park's exports
represented 57 per cent of Zarqa's $185 million total exports. Board Chairman
Jack Khayat predicted that exports will reach $140 million by the end of the
year. He attributed the rise in the exports to higher US demand on the
ready-made garments, in addition to the importers' confidence in the country's
products and producers. Duleil Industrial Park houses 21 factories whose
products are exported to the US markets.
