Capital of newly-registered companies rises by 150%, reaching JD318 million
AMMAN (Petra) — Capital of newly-registered companies rose during the January-October period of this year by 150 per cent, reaching JD318 million compared to JD127 million during the same period last year. The Jordanian contribution accounted for around JD277 million while nonlocal Arabs accounted for JD27.9 million compared to JD100 million and JD18 million respectively. The foreign contribution totalled JD12.9 million up from JD8.4 million. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the number of the registered companies also rose by 28.6 per cent, totalling 5,825 up from 4,529 companies.
