Jordan to Take Part in the OPCW Conference
Amman, Nov. 24 (Petra)--Jordan will take part in
meetings of the International Conference of the Organization for the Prohibition
of Chemical Weapons, (OPCW) which will be held in the Hague next Monday.
Member of the Jordanian delegation taking part in the Conference, Governor
Hassan Salahat, said that the conference will discuss the agreement on the
production, stockpiling and using of chemical weapons. "The Jordanian
delegation, which will be headed by Jordan's ambassador to the Netherlands Ahmad
Sat'an Al Hassan, will affirm the importance of prohibiting chemical weapons in
all parts of the world, particularly in the Middle East," he added.
The executive council of the conference will also be elected during the
conference. Jordan, which is member in the executive council will support Kuwait
to be accepted as member in this council.
