King, Queen on 3-day
Kuwait visit
King Abdullah and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah on Thursday held
talks on bilateral ties and Mideast issues. The King and the emir said they were
keen on enhancing economic cooperation between Jordan and Kuwait. The Monarch
thanked Kuwait for supporting Jordan. The two leaders discussed the Palestinian
situation and developments in Iraq. They stressed the importance of reviving the
peace process to help establish an independent Palestinian state. On Iraq, they
asserted their support for government efforts to restore security and stability.
Also yesterday, the King met with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al Sabah
and Parliament Speaker Jassem Khorafi for talks on bilateral ties. The King and
