Iraqi American Chamber
of Commerce and Industry opens branch in Amman
AMMAN (Petra) — The Iraqi American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCI)
opened a branch here on Monday to enhance Jordanian-Iraqi economic ties.
According to IACCI Director Faris Musleh, the Kingdom's conducive investment
environment in addition to stability and security were among the reasons that
prompted the IACCI to set up a new branch in Jordan. The IACCI urged Iraq's
private sector to take advantage of the facilities offered here to Iraqi
businessmen in Jordan to further boost efforts for the rebuilding of Iraq. In
2003, the IACCI launched its headquarters in California and then moved it to
Baghdad before branching in different Iraqi cities in an effort to increase the
commercial volume.
