Jordan, US discuss
agriculture cooperation
Minister of Agriculture Mustafa Qurunfleh discussed agricultural cooperation
with US Ambassador David Hale on Wednesday. Qurunfleh briefed Hale on
agriculture sector development projects. The ministry allocated JD5 million of
its budget to establish an agricultural risks fund for farmers. The most
important project to be implemented in cooperation with the US, is the export of
agricultural products to European and American markets, the minister said. Also
on Wednesday, he discussed means of cooperation between Jordan and the World
Food Programme (WFP), with WFP Regional Director Na’elah Sabra.
