Efforts to Secure the Release of a Jordanian Driver
The Government's Spokesperson Nasir Judah said that the Jordanian government is
following up with utmost keenness the kidnapping of a Jordanian driver in Iraq.
Judah affirmed that the government is making contacts with the Iraqi government
and the concerned official authorities to ensure that all necessary measures
will be taken to determine the fate of the driver and the party that kidnapped
him to secure his release. Judah told Jordan News Agency that the government had
requested the official authorities in Iraq to provide the necessary protection
for staff of the Jordanian embassy in Baghdad. He added that the foreign
minister had taken a decision to follow up this issue around the clock.
