Where do I find general information about Jordan?

General information on various aspects of the Kingdom of Jordan can be found in the facts sheets. The fact sheets, which are produced by Al-Kutba Publishers, include contact information should your research require further detail.   In addition, the links page contains a vast listing of websites pertaining to Jordan, both governmental, non-governmental and private sector.  The National Information System (www.nic.gov.jo)  has a vast database of information on various aspects of Jordan (i.e.-government, agriculture, education, etc..).

Where do I find political and economic information about Jordan?

Political and economic information can be found under the Jordan Information Bureau page, which covers the Peace Process, Jordan's positions on key issues, speeches and statements made by senior officials in the Jordanian government, in addition to links to both Jordanian government and non-government sites.  In addition, for economic indicators and activity, please access the website of the Central Bank of Jordan, the Department of Statistics, the National Information System and the Ministry of Finance.

I am travelling to Jordan and need a visa, what doI need to do? who do I contact? what forms do I need?

The Consular Office page contains all the information needed to prepare for a visit to Jordan. The page contains the forms that are required as well as contact names and numbers for the Embassy personnel who are more than happy to assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have. Please feel free to print out the forms, fill them out and then mail them to the Embassy at the address nearest to your location (as provided on the list).

The best online source of information on Jordan's culture is the Ministry of Culture's (http://www.culture.gov.jo) website.   In addition, the Jerash Festival (http://www.jerashfestival.com.jo/) takes place yearly in July and is a festival of culture, arts and music.
