Coat of Arms
|
The crown represents the Kingdom's system. In gold, it has five bands attached to a base imbedded with rubies and emeralds, and it is topped with a spearhead of silver.
The coat represents the Hashemite Throne on which the Crown sets. It is royal red velvet on the outside, representing sacrifice; and white silk on the inside, representing purity. The Coat is fringed in gold and tied with golden and tasseled braid.
Both are alike and represent the Great Arab Revolt. The flag length is twice its width and divided into three equal stripes: the upper one black, the middle one white, and the lower one green. On the pole side, a red triangle overlaps the stripes; its bases is equal to the width of the flag and its apex reaches to half the flag length at the center of the white stripe.
The Eagle represents power, courage and eminence. Its color symbolizes the flag color of the Great Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon Him), messenger of God. The eagle, with wings spread across the flags, stands on a Globe.
The Globe, in blue, represents the spreading of Islam and its civilization in the world.
a) The round shield, placed in front of the Globe, is made of bronze and decorated with a Marigold flower in Arabesque design. It represents the defense of Justice.b) Swords, spears, and Bows and Arrows are placed on both sides of the Shield. The Spearheads and Arrows are in silver, the Bows are in brown, and the Swords are in gold.
Three golden wheat ears on the right and a palm on the left surround the Shield, and are attached to the Renaissance Medal below.
The Renaissance Medal First Degree is in red, green and gold and is embedded with diamonds.
