Dana Khries
Consul

Biography

Dana Khries pursued a multidisciplinary education coupled with practical training and active participation with NGO's and civil society bodies operating in Jordan, particularly those involved in defending women's rights.

She graduated in 1999 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Jordan. Thereafter, she received her professional legal training for two years and passed the Jordanian bar exam. In 2004, she graduated from the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy and obtained the Higher Diploma in Diplomatic Studies, Honoris Causa.

When she first joined the Jordanian Diplomatic Corps, Ms. Khries was attached to the Foreign Minister's Cabinet where she was charged with European Affairs. Her previous experiences in the private sector along with her enthusiasm, linguistic abilities and professional skills enabled her to perform her duties with the utmost diligence and perfection and to, immensely, contribute to the functioning of the European Affairs' section of the Cabinet.

Ms. Khries didn't fail to seize an opportunity of involvement in the activities of the Jordanian civil society bodies. Her being a Practicing Lawyer and a member of the Jordanian Bar Association was an asset in this endeavor. She was an active member of a number of associations such as the Jordan Women's Union, the Business and Professional Women's Group.
