Biography
Mr. Al-Hadid was
appointed on March 1st 2006 as counselor at the Embassy of
Jordan in Washington, DC, prior to that he was the Director of
International Economic Affairs Unit at the Foreign Ministry in
Amman.
His earlier assignments included, among others, Assistant
Director of the Foreign Minister’s Private Office, Political
Officer at the International and Organizations Department at the
Foreign Ministry. He also served at the Jordanian mission to the
United Nations, during this period he was the Officer in charge
of Economic and Environmental Affairs (UNGA Second Committee)
and Representative of Jordan in the Budget and Administrative
Committee (UNGA Fifth Committee) and member of the Committee of
Information and Committee of Conferences at the United Nations,
furthermore, he was also elected as Rapporteur of the Second
Committee of Economic and Environmental Affairs. In addition,
Mr. Al-Hadid held the position of Jordanian Consul and Officer
in Charge of Economic Affairs at the Embassies of Jordan to
Indonesia and Malaysia.
Before joining Foreign Ministry in 1991, he worked as a Teaching
Assistant at the Faculty of Economics—University of Jordan.
Mr. Al-Hadid holds a Master degree in Economics, and B.A. degree
in Economics and Statistics, with a minor in Political Sciences
from University of Jordan.
He was born in Amman in 1965. He is married with four children.
