Jordan to take part in
the annual meetings of the World Bank and IMF
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Governor to the World
Bank Group, Suhair Al-Ali will head the Jordanian delegation to the annual
meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which will be
held in Washington D.C. this week.
The meetings will focus on work mechanisms of the two institutions in serving
interests of their member states and achieving their future development needs.
The minister will also meet with President of the World Bank Group Robert
Zoellick for talks on means of enhancing future cooperation between Jordan and
the WB.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Al-Ali will hold a series of bilateral
meetings with representatives of international and regional institutions as well
as donor community to discuss ways of strengthening Jordan’s relations with
these institutions.
