FIG to arrange activities to raise voters’ awareness prior to elections
AMMAN (Petra) - The Fact International Group (FIG) on Saturday signed an agreement with the Jordanian Society for Voters’ Rights to organise activities to raise public awareness of the upcoming parliamentary elections. The agreement aims to encourage citizens to participate in the election, which will be held on November 20, through activities which will be published in the media. The activities will be designed to highlight candidates’ views as well as enhance the culture of democracy among all involved in the campaign process. They will focus on the ethics of parliamentary promotional campaigns and various social, political and economic behaviour patterns that emerge during these campaigns.
