Mideast peace process discussed

His Majesty King Abdullah and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Tuesday discussed means to push forward the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis. Over a telephone call with Olmert, King Abdullah stressed the need to create a conducive work environment to ensure the success of the Middle East peace conference, which is due to be held in the US soon. During the telephone call, the Monarch also checked on the health condition of the Israeli prime minister who was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Monday. Also on Tuesday, the King sent a cable to Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, wishing him a speedy recovery. Meanwhile, the Monarch on Tuesday gave instructions for providing monetary assistance to the Arab Jordanian-Kuwaiti Institute in Abu Dis village, a Jerusalem suburb. The institute recently faced financial difficulties. His Majesty the late King Hussein laid the cornerstone of the institute in 1964.
