Jordan to take part in
conference on Palestinian refugees’ affairs
Jordan will take part in the 79th Session of Palestinian Affairs Supervisors
Conference at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on Sunday. Arab League
Assistant Secretary-General for Palestinian Affairs Muhammad Subeih said in a
statement to reporters today, that Jordan and the participating countries will
present to the meeting reports on conditions of Palestinian refugees. The
five-day conference, he said, will discuss a host of issues including Jerusalem,
Israeli settlement activities, Palestinian refugees, UNRWA and the continued
Israeli violations in the Palestinian lands. The delegates will present their
recommendations to the Arab foreign ministers during their 129th session which
will be held next March. Attending the meeting will be senior officials from
Jordan, Syrian, Lebanon, Egypt, and Palestine as well as representatives from
the Arab League and the Islamic Conference Organization.
