Jordan to participate in
Cairo conference
Jordan will participate in a conference of supervisors of Palestinian affairs to
be held at the Arab League headquarters on Sunday. During the meeting,
representatives of Arab countries hosting Palestinian refugees will present
detailed reports on the situation of the refugees, according to Arab League
Assistant Secretary General on Palestine Affairs and the Occupied Palestinian
Territories Mohammad Sbeih. Over five days of meetings, participants will
examine several issues, including Jerusalem, the question of refugees, Israeli
settlements and Israel’s continued violations and breaches of Palestinian
rights, Sbeih said. Participants will submit their recommendations to the
meeting of Arab foreign ministers, scheduled to convene at the beginning of
March.
